Total newb/noob to Guild Wars here. Just wondering about general information. - Guild Wars Forums

About a year ago I bought a bundle with Prophecies and EotN in it, played a bit, loved it, and went off to college, where I barely had time to play.

Summer is coming up, and I'm better than ever at time management, so I will have more time to play from now on.

Basically, I'm a total newbie to this. I love the way Guild Wars is designed, but I'm YEARS late with jumping on the bandwagon.

My main character is a level 11 N/R and I just got to my third mission.

I was wondering about a lot of things. I read these forums a bit, but I get lost by a lot of the terminology and such. I guess I shouldn't worry about it till I'm higher level and more experienced with the game, but is there any terminology that is vital for communicating with other people?

Anyone got any tips for a total noob?

Also, I would like to join a guild, but I'm pretty sure I saw a section for that on this forum. This game is funner when you actually play with other people, but no one talks in the low level towns, so I rarely manage to find a party.

Don't worry about terminology, you'll pick it up as you go, and most of it doesn't really matter until late in the game anyways. Most people don't have any problem explaining if you ask what they mean.

The early prophesies areas are a bit deserted because they're unpopular. I'd suggest finding a guild that has people willing to play the campaign through with you. (Yes the guilds section is a great place. You will most likely want a casual guild from the PvE section.)

You should check out the sticky thread Common Guild wars and internet terms in this forum, then you can better understamd what ppl in Guildwars are saying^^

I recommend you get a build and a team build for your heroes at lvl 20.
